Each Monday, we break down the numbers from the past weekend sale, online and in-person averages, high sellers, bidding trends, and what the data tells us about the current Longhorn market. Let's take a quick look at what happened this weekend. In today's Monday menu, we're recapping the 2026 Butler Breeders Invitational Sale that was held this past weekend, September 5th, in Lockhart, Texas. We'll be breaking down the most viewed animals, top sellers, both online and in person, and overall activity on Hired Hand Live.

The Butler Sale delivered strong engagements both in the ring and online, and the data tells the story from the sale averages to total views and activity on hiredhandlive.com.

There were 54 lots sold in total. The unofficial total was $168,800, and the unofficial average was $3,126. The internet only average for this sale was $2,617.

As the 15th sale of 2026 in our Hired Hand Live Trends and Averages series, the year-to-date average now sits at $9,679, with the internet only average at $6,836.

There were just over 8,000 total views of consignments online and 39 registered internet bidders.

The most viewed lot after the sale was lot 42 TC Cool Queenie, consigned by the Ketty Seller Partnership, and she ended with just over 300 views.

Now that we've covered those stats, let's spotlight the top five in-person sales and buyers from the Butler Breeders Invitational Sale. These consignments drew serious attention and left Texas with excited new owners.

The fifth highest selling lot to an in-person buyer was lot 50, Sister Magnolia C3, consigned by Krista Cadilco. She sold for $5,200 to Curtis Brown.

The fourth highest selling lot to an in-person buyer was number 57. Jackie Lynn, 479, consigned by McLeod Ranch, selling for $5,400 to Johnny and Missy Hicks.

The third highest selling lot to an in-person buyer was actually a tie. The lots were lot 47. JKG Miss Stella Rose consigned by JKG Longhorns. She was sold to John Tate, and the other lot was lot seven. Elena BR3, consigned by Triple R Ranch, and she sold to Gary Huddleston, and both of these lots sold for $5,500.

The second highest selling lot to an in-person buyer was lot number 56. Joni BR3, consigned by Triple R Ranch, selling for $11,500 to Bill Crozier.

And the number one highest selling lot to an in-person buyer was lot 42, TC Cool Queenie, who was also the most viewed, who was consigned by the Ketty Seller Partnership. She sold for $14,000 to Stan Tidwell.

The third highest selling lot to an online buyer was lot nine, JKG Miss Dynamy, consigned by JKG Longhorns, selling for $3,000 to Sherry Lee Haltra.

The second highest selling lot on Hired Hand Live was lot number one, Jackie Lynn 4518. She was consigned by McLeod Ranch and ended up selling for $3,500 to Doyle Farms.

And the number one highest selling lot to an online buyer was lot three. Jackie Lynn 4522, consigned by the McLeod Ranch, sold for $5,000 to Doyle Farms.
